The new square of Taste, Tradition and Solidarity of Amatrice designed by Stefano Boeri Architetti opened on Saturday, July 29th, 2017 in the presence of authorities and citizens.
The work, part of the project “Amate Amatrice”, was accomplished thanks to the funds provided by Corriere della Sera and Tg La7 through the “Un aiuto subito. Terremoto Centro Italia 6.0” joint initiative, with Banca Prossima and the TIM “With You We Do” crowdfunding, which raised an amount of over €8 million. €5 millions of this sum was allocated to the construction of the new area.
